The Sofitel Central Hua Hin Resort, formerly called Old Railway Hotel, is Thailand?s original resort hotel built in 1923. The old-colonial-style resort offers exquisitely tasteful rooms and suites with high ceiling, period furniture and elegant detailing blend together to create a hotel of unsurpassed luxury. The décor is rich polished hardwood softened by the warm tones of Thai silk, in a style evoking the spirit of the 1920s.

Our personal review

The first fine hotel in Hua Hin. You can see and feel from the decoration of the hotel that the owner is proudly to reserve for the young generation to experience. These are well maintain and definitely giving you the feel of the old day. Honestly you can either enjoying your holiday here or not at all. What you should do is to ask about your preference of the original hotel charactor like this. We do enjoy our stay in this resort and try to imagine we were in the costume in the era of King Rama VI.

Check-in and check-out time

The standard of check-in time for most of the hotels in Thailand is usually at 2.00 p.m. and the check-out time is at 12.00 noon.
