The Apsara (formerly the Duangchampa) is located in the quiet and peaceful area of Luang Prabang along the Nam Khan River and within a walking distance to the city center of Sakkarine Road. Its 13 guest rooms set in 2 separate buildings are tastefully designed in contemporary Laotian style with local furnishings and Laotian silk textile. Superior rooms in the upstairs are spacious and comfortable with terrace overlooking the Nam Khan River. All rooms are equipped with standard modern facilities (please note that there is NO television in any of the rooms here).
A good 2.5-star hotel in the peaceful area overlooking the Nam Khan River within a few minutes walk to the city center. Nice and friendly staff. Great wine list.
The standard of check-in time for most of the hotels in Laos is usually at 2.00 p.m. and the check-out time is at 12.00 noon. In order to ensure that room will be retained for late check out until 6.00 p.m., the hotel will usually charge 50% of the nightly room rate (room rate may vary subject to space availability on that day). If you wish to keep the room for late check-out until after 6.00 p.m., a one night charge will be applied.
