Opened in 2001, The Sanakeo Hotel is located on the Phou Vou Road, 10 minutes drive from the Luang Prabang International Airport and less than 10 minutes drive to the city center. The hotel interior design is of Laotian style with wooden furniture. Its 28 rooms of accommodations although a little bit small but are comfortable and equipped with basic standard of amenities including satellite television, mini bar, refrigerator as well as hot and cold shower.
A good 2.5 star hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Located in the less commercial area of Luang Prabang but within an easy access to the city center. Rooms at the front part of the hotel do have private terrace but can be a little noisy as facing directly to the street while rooms at the back of the building will be less noisy but has no view.
The standard of check-in time for most of the hotels in Laos is usually at 2.00 p.m. and the check-out time is at 12.00 noon. In order to ensure that room will be retained for late check out until 6.00 p.m., the hotel will usually charge 50% of the nightly room rate (room rate may vary subject to space availability on that day). If you wish to keep the room for late check-out until after 6.00 p.m., a one night charge will be applied.
